I think my question is self-explanatory. I need to setup nightly config backup, but using TFTP download. I also like to startup config periodically. Is there any ready made template to achieve this? Appreciate if someone can point me in the right direction.
Also curious to know, can I save a copy to config-archive folder? So far I just observe TFTP config downloads dumping the file to TFTP root.

I was preparing a custom report for generating Weekly Bandwidth report with Min,Max,Average and Peak Utilization of Interfaces. I have couple of issues here to fix. Can someone who is expert can guide me here ?
1. I am not able to pull the peak utilization report .
2. When i select Max function in "Recv Percentage utilization" its shows an error as "Query With aggregation function contains non-aggregated calculated values"
3. I am not able to pull the report as a summary of week instead the report shows summary by day wise!!!!!
Please someone help me as its a bit urgent req .. !!!!!!!
Dear, now i using SolarWinds-LEM-v5.3-Evaluation with trial. I monitoring Windows OS and AD very well but when add agent for Linux OS to get logs then it not show any logs on LEM console.
How to I configure on LEM console to collected Logs On Linux ?

We have a ESX 3.0.2 box which has 4 CPU. But I am seeing that NPM is just considering 1st CPU values eventhough ESXTOP is giving used total of 30%. We have tried through SNMP and poll through VM Ware, but still getting same values. I have also changed the polling method to Netsnmp real on the ESX but values didnt change. Please help me understand how we could pull out the average of 4 CPUs on ESX to get accurate values. I could not even find CPU utilization OID to add in UnDP.

Hi, if this has been covered elsewhere in the forums, apologies, I did search but couldn't find any mentions of this type of 'issue'
In short, it appears that certain monitored nodes show a duplication of monitored disks? These appear to be the 'same' disk however the label information has changed slightly, updating the monitored resources doesn't clear this, however, removing & re-adding the node does as I suspect it's writing a completely new entry to whatever table this information is stored in. I'm guessing the duplication is caused by mild corruption of the initial entry?
I really wanted to know whether there was some sort of cleanup I could run on the server itself to clear out redundant entries such as these? Without having to remove > re-add nodes each time.

I created a new ftp server and directed cdr logs from Cisco CUCM v8.6.2 to write to this location. CDR only, no CMR, set continuous. I see many files 17 after 20min or so. But Call Detail Record Tracker always returns "There is no CDR data returned from the server". The tests pass fine, I have tried add and removing forward slash with no changes. What steps can I take to diagnose further. I did enable verbose, but there are no visible errors
At least half of the installations on windows 7 x64 workstations we have a situation that Java 7u11 (x86 for x64) (Upgrade) installation never ends and actually when it's trying to install the update on shutdown it never ends and you have to force shutdown. However next time when windows starts this java update is installed successfully within couple of seconds. That means that installation has been done already but is somehow missing successfull stop command. I did't make any modifications to the package just duplicated it. I have no idea what could cause this.

Hi all. I have a basic question about how to extract text from a field in a query. Does SWQL support something similar to the MID command or SELECT SUBSTRING start posistion, length? I'm not a SQL person so forgive me if the lingo is incorrect.
I'm using NPM 10.4 and have connected to the server with the SDK 1.5. I'm using the SWQL Studio. Below is my query. Dont laugh, its my first one ever.

Orion Network Atlas - Under Maps, the icon for this group is grayed out, however, you can see that everything under it is green (Although, I do now, see one interface that is down) Is this the reason the icon is grey?
After upgrading to 10.4, the toolset will not lauunch from the webconsole. Any thoughts?
Has anyone seen slow configuration collection times in 5.1? Performance collections are finishing in seconds. Configuration collections are taking over 700min currently on multilple vcenters.
Is anyone else having issues with SW Tech support?
I have three open cases with an average duration of over 2 weeks and it seems as if no one at all in Tech Support cares or wants to render assistance!
My Orion NPM was having major issues, so I moved it to a new server. Then the problems started and have continued incessantly!
No web page at first. Finally upgraded to 10.4 on my own, that fixed this issue. No attempt at communications from Tech Support.
Next after fixing the above issue, now my default Node Detail page seems corrupted and will not work with any node! Sent Diagnostics. Still no contact from Tech Support!
So here I am with a SW Orion NPM that really isn't usable for over two weeks and I am not getting anywhere with Tech Support.

When a File Version with registry value rule specifies a registry value that does not exist on the target system, does the rule evaluate to True or False? Based on the context in which it's used (for "Upgrade only" packages), I assume that it must evaluate to True if the value is missing, but can anyone confirm?
I'm having trouble collecting W3C logs from a server running IIS 7.5 (using Lem 5.5 with all the latest updates). The FAST reader starts, but I never collects any actual logs. If I look on the server itself the logs are being written just fine, and I have the correct path in the collector settings. Is IIS 7.5 just not supported yet (I'm using the IIS 7.0 W3C collector on server 2008 r2)?, lem Thanks!
So last night we installed MS patches on a few of our DEV server farms. The night guy placed all the correct farms into an Unmanaged state. All was good until he put them back into managed. We got a couple hundred reset alerts. Now, I do have a reset condition which tells us when a server node is back up. Is there any way to suppress this when a server comes out of being unmanaged or is this the setting across the board? I'm probably going to pull the trigger on removing the alert condition, but I just wanted some feedback first. Thanks!
I have a TriGeo/LEM rule that kicks off it an end user's account is locked out after so many attempts and it works great. I would like to have the email also include which domain controller it pulled that information from if possible. This could help us determine at what location this person was at at that time. Another nice to have would be from what machine the attempt was made from. If this is possible I could use some help on getting the actions dialog properly populated.

Whenever I update the patch manager server, I have to also manually update the console on our admin workstations and Citrix servers. Granted, this isn't on the same scale as a Windows update that affects all computers in the domain, but it does need to be updated on about 10 machines and is time-consuming. Since there doesn't seem to be an update included in the SolarWinds catalog, has anyone managed to create a custom package that will do this? Specifically, I'd be interested in any applicability and installed rules you have come up with and most importantly, command line switches to update the console silently.
